Terms & Conditions of use

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of The Ironing Directory website (www.theironingdirectory.co.uk), your relationship with The Ironing Directory (The Ironing Directory, we or us) and all enquiries you may make via The Ironing Directory website. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not book via The Ironing Directory or use The Ironing Directory website. Please note that to use the booking services provided on The Ironing Directory website, you are required to have registered with us.

1. The Ironing Directory Website is provided to you free of charge for your personal use, subject to these Terms and Conditions. By using The Ironing Directory’s website and services you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

4. Registration
4.1. To make an enquiry for an ironing service via the The Ironing Directory, you must register with us. This is referred to as ‘new customers’ throughout our website and literature.
4.2. To register with The Ironing Directory you must be over sixteen years of age.
4.3. You must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time are correct and complete.
4.4. You must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering by updating your personal details.
4.5. You may register online from any area of the UK.

6. Payment
6.1. This varies between company and company. If prices are stated in the listing - we can not be held responsible for any variations once contact with the company has been made
6.2. In most instances, you can pay by cash or cheque.

7. Service Use
7.1. Hangers and polythene covers may be supplied. This will depend on the individual policy of the company you select.
7.2. No order is accepted from you until we confirm this by writing to you via email. A contract for use of service arises on our acceptance of your order.
7.3. Where we accept an booking, we do all that we can to ensure that your booking is fulfilled. The booking is sent to the ironing company via phone or email and they may contact you to verify collection times and pricing.
7.4. We are not affiliated in any way with the ironing companies that are listed. The ironing company you elect to use will have their own terms and conditions relating to the use of their service. We advise you to consult them for further information.
7.5. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of items. Please take up all issues with the ironing company you have chosen.
7.6. We cannot be held responsible for delays, or non-collection of your ironing. Please take up all issues with the ironing company you have chosen.

10. Intellectual property
10.1. All content and programming of The Ironing Directory website is the property of The Ironing Directory. You may retrieve and display the content of The Ironing Directory website on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on The Ironing Directory website without written permission from The Ironing Directory.
10.2. No licence is granted to you in these Terms and Conditions to use any trade mark of The Ironing Directory or its affiliates or licensors.

11. Amendments We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any changes will be notified to you via the e-mail address provided by you on registration or via a suitable announcement on The Ironing Directory website. The changes will apply to the use of The Ironing Directory Website after we have given notice. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms and Conditions, you should not continue to order from The Ironing Directory or use The Ironing Directory website. If you continue to use The Ironing Directory website after the date on which the change comes into effect, your use of The Ironing Directory website indicates your agreement to be bound by the new Terms and Conditions.
